Brightness rises twice: The image of Fire. Thus the great man, by perpetuating this brightness, illumines the four quarters of the world.

Nine at the Beginning初九
"The footprints run crisscross. If one is seriously intent, no blame."
Confusion at the start is natural. Seriousness brings order.

Six at the Place 2六二
"Yellow light. Supreme good fortune."
Moderation and balance bring great success.
Original: 黄离,元吉。
Nine at the Place 3九三
"In the light of the setting sun, men either beat the pot and sing or loudly bewail the approach of old age. Misfortune."
Accept the cycle of life. Do not despair over the passing of time.
Original: 日昃之离,不鼓缶而歌,则大耋之嗟,凶。
Nine at the Place 4九四
"Its coming is sudden; it flames up, dies down, is thrown away."
Sudden passion or anger burns out quickly and leaves destruction.
Original: 突如其来如,焚如,死如,弃如。
Six at the Place 5六五
"Tears in floods, sighing and lamenting. Good fortune."
Sorrow creates clarity and change. It is a cleansing process.
Original: 出涕沱若,戚嗟若,吉。
Nine at the Top上九
"The king uses him to march forth and chastise. Then it is best to kill the leaders and take captive the followers. No blame."
Eliminate the root of the problem, but be lenient with the followers.
